REAPER FAQ is a series of Q & A and quick tip articles answering some of the most frequent asked questions and searches. I don’t want people to stop asking the simple questions, I just want the answer to be easy to find. I’m starting a new series to cover these topics because clearly, they’re the important ones. check for a VST plugins directory in both Program Files and Program Files (x86) if you're on a 64bit machine and make sure both are in the preferences path, etc, or consult EZ Drummer documentation for info about where the DLL might have gone.I’ve been seeing a lot of the same questions being asked often and I’ve been looking at the phrases people search for to get here. Adding the "location of EZ Drummer" won't do anything unless it's the location of the actual DLL (i think reaper also looks in subdirectories, but not sure.) Sometimes plugin installations create their "main" directory for the manuals, uninstall program, web links, etc, in the Program Files or wherever, but install the DLL somewhere else, like a VST Plugins directory, which is sometimes not the VST plugins directory a given DAW actually looks for. Re: EZ Drummer, i haven't used it specifically, but, assuming windows here, in general you need to make sure that reaper can find the. (This apparently isn't in the manual, which is weird.) That will open the folder containing the reaper-license.rk file which is what you need to import. Open reaper, hit the "?" key, type "resource path" in the "Filter" field, double click on the "Show REAPER resource path in explorer" action. I went to the preferences section then plugins then added the location of EZ Drummer but it doesn't show up. Also can't seem to add EZ Drummer as a instrument of VST Plugin. I got the program but it is an evaluation version and says,"import license key" but I can't find that key. I bought a new laptop and downloaded my already paid for Reaper.
